After a successful premiere last week (3.0 share), GateWorld has further scooped info on the second season of SG-4!
An abridged eleven episode season is in order, just like season one. Said executive producer Brad Wright, “Twenty-two is the magic number for syndication. Adding eleven more episodes in the second season [of SG-4] will get us to that number. It also allows us to better pace ourselves with three concurrently running Stargate shows at the moment.”
When asked about the kind of stories viewers can expect, Wright was cryptic: “As with any show, we hope to craft something for everyone. There will be, of course, action, exploration, difficult decisions to be made, and a fair dose of levity. We’ll be bringing back several characters from the first season — friend and foe — to help establish continuity but also to move the series forward.”
Pressed for details on the new character introduced in “Be Brave,” Wright went on to say, “Yes, we’ll be delving more into the backstory of Amadi. Who he is, where he comes from, and how he knows so much about the Goa’uld.”
So is Osiris the villain for SG-4 in season two? “No comment,” says Wright with a grin.
GateWorld has also provided a preliminary list of episodes, although it’s not clear if their running order are finalized (they are provided in their shooting/production order). No details on plot summaries yet, either.
